Just a heads-up to any of you in North America...tonight TCM will be showing Connie's final film, Above Suspicion, at 8:30 PST (my time); I'm not sure if that means it will be on at 11:30 PM EST or not, so please check your local listings.

For those of you without TCM, however, don't despair, since this particular link might be of some interest to you. ;)

Wow, I can't believe it's taken me so long to actually post here! Particularly since it's been six months since I did my my first batch of Connie icons--please feel to take any you like (comments & credit are love), and know that there are more on the way...because I can think of few things more enjoyable than having to look at photos of Connie for hours on end. ;)

Hello everyone! I am a relatively new fan of the Great Conrad Veidt who caught the disease after watching "The Man Who Laughs" (that's right; he's not even his usual handsome self there but he was mesmerizing none the less).  I 've watched every CV film I could get my hands on (that's about a dozen) but I really can't choose which one I like best; each time I see a new one I change my mind!:) I have a soft spot for "Contraband" though, there's real chemistry between him and Valerie Hobson and the movie is good fun to watch.

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if someone could help me finding 'Escape' (pointing out a download link or anything) with our dear Conrad.
Someone uploaded the film on youtube but sadly some clips are missing. (especially some with Conrad in them.)

Thanks in advance.

(if this isn't allowed, feel free to delete the entry.)

Hello!  I just stumbled across this little community and I hope it's not dead!  So far, I've only seen The Man Who Laughs, which instantly captivated me, and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari which captivated me further.  Mr. Veidt was an incredible and beautiful actor!!  I can't wait to get my hands on more of the films he was in.  I just hate that many of them are now lost and we'll never get a chance to see them.  -_-

I'm SO happy to find a community for the amazing Conrad Veidt on here, I didn't think there would be! Recently I bought Different From the Others and I intend to watch it ASAP! Anyone else have this flick, of have seen it? Did you enjoy it?

I recently capped The Indian Tomb for film_stills , and thought I might as well cross-post the Conrad stills here. I debated about whether to join this community or not, as it seems so inactive, but it's nice just to see that there other fans. I discovered him through Caligari, and I've been trying to see as many of his films as I can ever since...

The stills are under the cut, and if anyone wants more, just ask. I have far too many...

Hello -
first of all, thanks ever so much for creating this community!
My name is Gudrun, and my favourite Conrad Veidt film is definitely Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari - I think that was the first film I saw him in as well, but I'm not quite sure of that... In fact, the scene were we see Caligari awakening Cesare for the first time, and Conrad Veidt opens his eyes and stares at the camera - that's one of my favourite moments in the history of film. He does so little and achieves such an amazing effect.

Nice to meet you all!
